Applications for Gratuities or Charitable Donations

To qualify in accordance with the 1881 Act of Parliament all beneficiaries of gratuities must:

• Have been born in the Borough of Bedford (including the villages)

• Have lived in the Borough for the last 15 years

• Be of retirement age and receiving a state pension

• Have only limited income and assets - if married, a partner's income and assets will also be taken onto account

The gratuity payable is £240 per annum payable quarterly
